FAI recently conducted a 2 Day Course for Health Care Workers and Professionals in the Lagos State Ministry of Health’s Secondary Health Facilities and Hospitals in the State. A World Bank assisted project, it was titled: HIV/AIDS Programme Development, 'Expanding Public Response'. The opening ceremony which preceded the technical sessions had in attendance the Ministry’s BIG wigs which included Directors, Assistant Directors and an array of Medical Doctors from the Ministry while the Special Guest of Honour was the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Leke Pitan, ably represented by another big wig in his own rights, Dr. Aderemi Desalu. Dr Desalu is a national figure in the advocacy of HIV/AIDS as well as being in charge as CEO of the State’s Action Committee on AIDS, SACA.

The course was organized strictly for the Ministry’s in-house Health Care Workers and professionals from its various General Hospitals in the State.
