FAI'S WORLD
AIDS DAY INTERVIEW ON KAAKAKI, AM TV SHOW.
READ STORY |
|
Back in the country,
folks are outrageously carefree and go about their
daily businesses oblivious of the concern "city
people" seem to have over issues of
HIV/AIDS.
Haven't they heard about it they are not and the
reason is simple. Even when statistics show
that HIV/AIDS is a significant problem along
border areas around the world, the information
available on the subject matter often is distorted
and inadequate. Also responsible is the strong
belief in traditional myths and
trado-medicine, which seem to empower the
folks in their belief that HIV/AIDS is a foreign disease and
where anyone in the community is inevitably
infected, there is always a ready cure. In
a pre-awareness baseline survey, 24% of folks that
answered a set of questionnaires responded "There
is a cure for HIV/AIDS." Today people of the
target communities know better and indeed are
anxious to get tested for the virus.

we see here, DEATH BE NOT PROUD, Pastor Bim was fully
done. In her soul, she's free
